Many, many, many Christmases ago, in a land far away, a land often referred to as Crazytown, I decided that I would make cookie trays to give as gifts, thinking that it would be more meaningful than anything I could purchase, and also save me a butt load of money. WRONG. It costs a whole lot of money to bake cookies, especially if you make the kind that not only taste good, but also look dreamily scrumptious. As for being a meaningful gift, the jury is still out on that one. I think a bottle of rum or a case of beer is just as sensible a gift, not to mention much more appreciated after you’ve spent an entire weekend in your kitchen slaving over a hot oven to bake and decorate batch after batch of holiday cookies. With Christmas fast approaching, I’m sure many of y’all are contemplating holiday baking. Perhaps you just want to make one batch, or maybe you’ve decided to go visit Crazytown yourself, and bake several different varieties to later use in cookie trays. Whatever your goal, here are a few past Faith, Hope, Love, and Luck cookie recipes to get you into the Crazytown holiday spirit.
