Chocolate Kissed Egg Nogg

EGG NOGG WITH COCOA POWDER, CHOPPED HERSHEY’S KISSES, MALT POWDER, CINNAMON, AND CREME DE COCOA

Pomegranate Calimocho

EQUAL PARTS RED WINE AND COLA, MIXED WITH POMEGRANATE JUICE

Paula Deen’s Kentucky-Style Eggnog

Ingredients: 

  • 6 Large Eggs, Separated
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar, Divided
  • 1 Cup Bourbon
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • Garnish: Freshly Ground Nutmeg

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, beat egg whites at high speed with an electric mixer until just stiff.  Gradually add 1/3 cup sugar, beating until combined.
  2. In a large bowl, beat egg yolks and 1/3 cup sugar at medium speed until combined.  Slowly add bourbon, beating until smooth.  Gently fold in egg whites.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream at high speed until almost stiff; add remaining 1/3 cup sugar, and beat until stiff peaks form.  Gently fold in egg mixture.  Stir in milk.  Garnish with nutmeg, if desired.

Makes about 6 to 8 servings.
