I finally managed to get the Valentine’s decorations put up outside yesterday evening. Not a huge task, considering that consisted of hanging one mini garden flag, one red and white floral wreath, a small glittery heart, and a welcome sign on the kitchen door that has hearts hanging from it. Outside Valentine’s Day is kind of dull, thank goodness St. Patrick’s is much more exciting; I at least have something to look forward to.
The inside of the house has been decorated since Christmas was boxed away a few weeks ago, but it’s just been way too cold outside for B.O.B. Bob and I to tackle “de-Christmasing” the outside decorations. There aren’t hearts hanging from every hook, or cupids flying from the ceilings with their darts aimed towards Brenna’s butt, however you can definitely tell that we’re ready to celebrate love. I have a bunch of Valentine’s-inspired recipes that I’m just dying to try out; “Bacon Maple Sugar Cookie Pigs of Love” is just one of the many ideas I’ve been working on. Sugar cookies, maple, bacon, pigs…what’s not to love? Below are just a few kitchen items that I am passionately loving at the moment.
