Oktoberfest is something I always look forward to. I mean, who doesn’t love beer, sausage, and pretzels? It’s like someone threw all of my favorite things together and said, “All right, now let’s get our party on! Oh, and here’s a little bit of sauerkraut to make it even better!” While these simple crockpot meatballs, made using Stubb’s Smokehouse Bourbon Cookin’ Sauce, certainly don’t contain sauerkraut, they are still more than ready for a party. You can cheat and cook the meatballs in an oven as I did, or you can stand in front of the stove browning them up in a skillet. I suggest the stove method. Be lazy; save yourself some time.

Speaking of saving time, this cookin’ sauce is a real time-saver; one that I recommend to anyone. I shared my Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That Crockpot Chili recipe with y’all several weeks ago using another one of Stubb’s Cookin’ sauces, and this one is just as flavorful as that one, without crazy unreadable ingredients involved. Just add beer and a few other ingredients to make these fall-inspired meatballs for your next party, Oktoberfest celebration, or Crockpot Monday dinner. Or, if you’re like B.O.B. Bob and me, you can just eat them at midnight, along with a side of mozzarella cheese, after finally coming in from some late-night Halloween decorating.

We seriously got a whole heck of a lot done this weekend in the yard, thanks to several friends who stopped by to lend a helping hand. (Big gigantic thanks and hugs to Amelia, James, Linda, and Al for all of your help!) I can’t wait to share some pictures of it with y’all. I’ll be posting pictures willy-nilly on Instagram this week, which will show off a few of the things we Halloweenified over the weekend. For me, the major accomplishment was installing the Scottish Skelton Clan Army beach-themed Whispering Tombstone Cove. All my clansmen are out, gussied up for the occasion, and awaiting tombstones and final fluffing. That’s right y’all, I’m a skeleton fluffer. I know, I know, it sounds a little crazy, perverted, and odd, but hey, I’m darn good at it. Now, if I could just get someone to pay me for it. That would be a dream job. Imagine B.O.B. Bob and I getting paid to do Halloween. Halloween Fluffer Extraordinaires!
