Taste of Home Recipe Star

Taste of Home Recipe Star | Faith, Hope, Love, and Luck Survive Despite a Whiskered Accomplice

Drum roll please. Toot your horns, shake your maracas, strum your guitars, and then blow your recorders like you’re a 1st grader who has just finished eating a bag of M&M’s and the end of the sugar high is nowhere in sight. I’m finally ready to share my happy news with y’all, and before you ask, no I am not pregnant. The big news is that Faith, Hope, Love, & Luck is the Recipe Star of Taste of Home April/May 2016.  I talked HERE a few weeks ago about how my recipe for Bourbon Candied Bacon Deviled Eggs was being featured on page 49, but I failed to take notice that another picture of yours truly was plastered on page 7 as well. I am over the moon thrilled to have been picked as the Recipe Star of the issue, as well as being recognized for having my first recipe published in the magazine.

Last week, I received my second copy of the magazine in the mail and was talking to my mom on the phone, asking if she had received her copy yet. As I was talking, I randomly flipped through the pages, and there my face was looking back at me in a place I wasn’t expecting to see it. So what’s the big deal you ask? Well, not a whole lot really, except for the fact that my recipe was signaled out above all of the others. It’s almost like I got picked to be the prom queen. Well, not really, but you get the point. There may or may not have been a happy dance in my living room. I even received the sweetest letter from my Aunt Helen this week congratulating me. She and my uncle were both thrilled to open the magazine and see my featured recipe. That’s what it’s all about folks. Making the world a better place, one deviled egg at a time.

Taste of Home Bourbon Candied Bacon Deviled Eggs | Faith, Hope, Love, and Luck Survive Despite a Whiskered Accomplice

To make things even more exciting, I received a monthly newsletter from Taste of Home yesterday, which also featured my recipe. It’s almost like my little candied bacon stuffed deviled eggs are becoming more famous than a reality star who gets off on showing their unmentionables. That’s a good thing. A very good thing. I’m talking about the eggs, not the reality star. With all the crappy crap crap crap going on in the world right now people need more deviled eggs. You can click HERE to see my recipe for Bourbon Candied Bacon Deviled Eggs on Taste of Home’s website, or view the recipe HERE on Faith, Hope, Love, & Luck’s site. Whatever you do, make sure to spread the love. Show everyone how much you care about them by giving them a deviled egg, because deviled eggs are so much better than naked famous body parts that have had way too much surgery and alterations to make them look like that.
