We don’t always have the time to make the food that will make our eyes bulge as much as our stomachs, but if we did these recipes would be pretty darn high up there on the must make it and eat as fast as possible list. I know many of you have missed The Thursday Thirteen “Food Porn,” so I went all out when choosing this weeks recipes. If I had hours filled with nothing to do, I would surely make at least one of these, if not all of them.
1
Let’s kick this off with the most gorgeous Salted Caramel Apple Snickers Cake from Half Baked Harvest. There is no way that you could not want to eat a big ol’ hunk of this cake, and that’s coming from a person who really doesn’t like cake.
2
Sticky Garlic Chicken and Broccoli from Pinch of Yum is almost worth the effort it surely requires to clean the baking sheet afterwards. Almost. Maybe on a day where lots of soaking can take place.
3
So the holidays are approaching, and these Apple Cider Crème Fraîche Caramels from Two Red Bowls would make a great treat to give friends and family with their to go bags.
4
I would totally make this Raspberry Lemon Cake with Italian Buttercream from Faith, Hope, Love, & Luck a second time. I just need an entire week free to do it all over again, and a few people to help me eat it.
5
Oh my. How could anyone resist this Mexican Chorizo and Garlic Shrimp Burger from Lady and Pups? I want it now, with a side of extra shrimp.
6
Is it too late in the year to make this Roasted Apple Butter and Apple Crisp Ice Cream from Brooklyn Supper? I think not.
7
Cheese. Herbs. Oil. Need I say anything else? Herb-Marinated Cheeses from Adventures in Cooking will happen. Maybe not today, or even tomorrow, but soon; very, very soon.
8
They had me at tequila ice cream, but they knocked my feet out from under me when they mentioned malted chocolates. Coffee Tequila Ice Cream with Smashed Malted Chocolates from Drizzle and Dip could possibly make me forget that there was coffee involved.
9
Pizza, Beer, Cheese, and Tater Tots all squished together in one recipe. Hello! I need this Trashed Up Beer Cheese Tater Tot Pizza from The Beeroness to happen.
10
This Tipsy Caramel S’mores Milkshake from The Housewife in Training Files would perhaps make me change my opinion on milkshakes.
11
I like steak, but I love steak with a juicy “sauce.” I would so melt into a puddle on the floor after eating this Filet Mignon with Porcini Mushroom Compound Butter from Foodie Crush.
12
I’ve never made lamb before, but I would so change that by making these Slow Roasted Balsamic Lamb Shanks with Cauliflower Puree from The Food Dept.
13
These Blackberry and Custard Doughnuts from Donal Skehan deserve to be worshipped. Slowly, with many moans of happiness being emitted during the stuffing of one’s face.
