When Losing Is Still Winning

Balsamic Deviled Eggs with Pancetta | Faith, Hope, Love, & Luck Survive Despite A Whiskered Accomplice

Not every loss is bad. That’s what I’m telling myself to make myself feel better about not winning the Eggland’s Best “Your Best Recipe Contest.” As far as I’m concerned, I still won. I might even just don my tiara and wave a wand around in the air to make it seem more believable, because that’s how I deal with losing. I remind myself of the positives, and bury the negatives deep, deep, deep down. I was one of the top twenty finalists, which happens to be a pretty big achievement. Many of you took time out of your lives to vote for Balsamic Deviled Eggs with Pancetta every day; some of you even used multiple email addresses to do so. That alone is a huge win. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and excitement for Faith, Hope, Love, & Luck’s being chosen as a top finalist. Want to show even more support? Make my deviled egg recipe and share it with the world. We will conquer the human race, one deviled egg at a time, and through it all I’ll be wearing my tiara, and waving my wand. I may even break out into a rousing rendition of Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo.

Does Brenna get a tiara and waving wand to??? Sorry you didn’t win. You should have…

    • Colleen Delawder

No tiara, but she does have a brand new sailor outfit that my best friend gave her…and a reindeer, and an elf. We have yet to torture her with those yet! Maybe I’ll win the cookie contest.

If she only knew what was in store for her…. Is there voting w/ the cookie contest? I didn’t really check it out…

You can vote starting today…it’s kind of a weird site. You have to register to vote here http://richmond.upickem.net/engine/votes.aspx
and then you click on each recipe one at a time and click vote. After you vote for a recipe it will disappear, so I’m assuming you can vote for as many as you would like. The tree recipes are Raspberry-Cranberry Shortbread Thumprint Cookies, Irish Whiskey Salted Thumbprint cookies, and Salted Pistachio Chip Cookies.
