Suggestions:

  • You can use any size or brand of refrigerated crescent rolls for this recipe. I used the original small-sized crescent rolls. If you use larger crescent rolls, you will need to increase the baking time.
  • Whole berry or jellied cranberry sauce can both be used for this recipe. Just make sure to mash the cranberry sauce up with a fork before spreading it out onto the crescent rolls.
  • Make sure when you spread the cranberry sauce onto each crescent roll, that you stay away from the edges so that the filling will not ooze out too much when you roll each crescent roll up.
  • Use homemade Roasted Maple Bourbon Cranberry Sauce for this recipe.

Improvements:

  • Replace the maple extract with vanilla extract or lemon extract.
  • After icing the crescent rolls, garnish them with a few finely chopped pecans, walnuts, or almonds.
  • Add fresh orange zest to the cranberry sauce.
