Egg Rolls Are Coming Soon

This is a look into your future. Do you like what you see? I sure do hope so, because I spent last Saturday afternoon taking an egg roll-making class with my mom in Hagerstown, Maryland. You shouldn’t expect either one of us to go into the egg roll-making business any time soon with our newly acquired skills, but with the tips and techniques we learned, you can definitely expect egg rolls to appear on our dinner tables at least once or twice within the next couple of months.

I’ve already been spending quite a bit of time dreaming up ways to fill the egg roll wrappers that we purchased after our entertaining class. So far, I’ve decided that a ground shrimp egg roll is definitely the first version I have/want to make. Why not start with the basics, right? Then I also have plans for a Chesapeake Bay crab egg roll. I bet that got your attention, didn’t it? I even made myself drool uncontrollably with that egg roll fantasy.

As well as sharing egg roll recipes with y’all, I also hope to pass on the knowledge I gained from the fun little class my mom and I attended; a couple of the tips even caught me by surprise. I have a feeling that I’ll want to wrap everything up inside an egg roll skin by the end of the month. You’ll just have to indulge my crazy whims and me. I’m giving you a fair warning. Get ready folks, because egg rolls are coming soon, and I promise they will be worth the wait.
